Recently in the last two months , I have been turning down request from the likes of ( Fox ) Bill O'Reilly, (MSNBC) Rev Sharpton , and (CNN) Don Lemon ? Also I turned down the opportunity to have a speaking part ( acting) in the next installment of " Ghostbusters " ? The reasoning is, I did not turn them down, I never burn bridges but I said if my schedule allows me ? The reality is all opportunities are not good ones, and all money is not good money ! I decided 30 years ago that I was going to be a legitimate business Man and there for I don't believe in Credit, Loans, Payments or Favors ! When I was young I aspired to be famous and always dreamed of getting that kind of Media, to be a house hold name, a national Celebrity !
Many years between the ages of 18 and 30 I tried to be a house hold name by starting and running 5 entertainment companies by the age of 31 ! For 4 years straight Mr. Roger Bates artist, creator and owner of ( The Black Savior Comic Book) and I were able to get consistent local Media in ' The Bay Area " !
Many newspaper articles, The Fremont Argus, Daily Review, Oakland Tribune, San Jose Mercury, The San Francisco Chronicle and the East Bay Express were main stays ! We also did three local talk shows with twice with Susan Sikora ( Ch-44) and once with local 5 CBS with Barbra White ! Not to mention our famous short lived commercial on Soul Beat Television by the " Great " Chuck Robinson of Oakland, Ca !
The closest we ever got to national news was our article titled " Black Comic Books " on the cover of the December issue of The Source Magazine 1995 with LL. Cool J on the cover ! Oh yea we got natinal attention from our beef with Ice- T which made the MTV News and a mention of us in directly, in Ice-T Autobiography the " Ice Opinion " in which he states he had controversy with a comic book character and publisher ( The Black Savior ) 1993-1994 ? My point is now years later when finally I will be a house hold name on June-9-2015 Nation wide release of my Autobiography ' The Godbrother ", I finally arrived by my God's grace and his appointed time !
